We follow the instructions left as a legacy by our great licorice maker Väinö Hilden. We make licorice from only a few carefully selected natural ingredients without any artificial nasty ingredients.

We use a traditional method of slowly cooking them together to make a dough. After cooking, we finally press the licorice candy dough into shape. The traditional method of making it this way gives it the distinctive chewy softness.

The high-quality, natural ingredients of our licorice candy set us apart from all other licorice sweets out there. The star of our licorice is licorice root extract, which gives it its distinctive dark colour and delicious, complex flavor.

Most of our licorice products are vegan. If the product is vegan, this is mentioned on the product page. Please also check the packaging labels.

Our licorice contains wheat and is not gluten-free. Currently we don’t have gluten-free licorice in our assortment.
